Experimental Radio is an interdisciplinary platform for radio art in Munich founded by the artist Ralf Homann bringing together a wide range of hybrid practices at the intersection of visual arts, radio, spatial proceedings and collaborative works. The platform also fosters versatile and newer forms of radio art or sound art such as live-act, performance, micro radio, radio sculpture, audio documentary, aesthetic journalism and transmission art or sonic strategies. Experimental Radio aims to create a network between artists dealing with urgent questions on open access to the media (beyond mass media), the activating of space and the development of the public realm.
The artist-in-residence programme allows visiting artists to work temporarily in the shared studio space on their project ideas and to participate in current Experimental Radio`s activities. The programme intends to introduce Bangalorean artists to the Munich art world with public events.
The Bangalore-based artists Shruti Rao and Abhishek Bommana will come to Munich at the end of October. The “Welcome Soup” is on October 30. If you are interested, please register at the e-mail address info(at)radiostudio.org.

The artist-in-residence programme allows visiting artists to work temporarily in the shared studio space on their project ideas and to participate in current Experimental Radio`s activities. The programme intends to introduce Bangalorean artists to the Munich art world with public events. The shared workplace is in a municipal studio building (Staedtisches Atelierhaus Baumstr.) located in the heart of Munich. More than 35 artists and architects are working here in 24 studios. The visiting artist will be accommodated in the Ebenboeck-House, 15 minutes away from downtown Munich. The Ebenboeck-House is a shared flat for visiting artists that is run by the City of Munich (shared living room, kitchen and bathroom). The Experimental Radio artist-in-residency programme lasts two months, from December 1, 2018, until January 31, 2019. It is accompanied by a grant covering living expenses and commuting.

Das Programm umfasst auch öffentliche Veranstaltungen, um Künstlerinnen und Künstler aus Bengaluru in die Münchner Kunstszene einzuführen. radiostudio.org was a collaborative platform for radio art and radio related netart and activism. radiostudio.org operated an M2M-media for audio streaming (sometimes also video), first ogg and real, later on mp3 in different bandwidths. radiostudio.org was hosted by Ralf Homann and his students during his professorship Experimental Radio at Bauhaus-University Weimar from 1999 until 2007.
